A great video. Amazes me how he has the control and discipline to keep the heels so LOW skiing the lightest binding systems.

There's virtually no lateral movement of Telehiro's arms, essentially no upperbody rotation. His upperbody could not be more QUIET. His hands are stably in front with very little fore/aft movement also. THIS IS B-TELE. Another great day on the T4's, old 75mm "cable" binding, and Panorama 78's.

Earning it on sketchy snow, long hikes. Matches some T4's, Panoramas and a cable (hard to see the exact bindings, maybe old Targas) binding.

There is a lot of body rotation going on in those long r turns in a couple recent videos and he doesn't appear to be flailing. Like I said, "you guys have some catching up to do."

You are clueless Al. You have no idea wtf you are saying. His arms do not cross from side-to-side as he skis. Go take some lessons.

Wow, Al turns out to be just another Ttalk thrasher. You may ski on a low intermediate Telemark level ok, Al, but you are a complete wreck when you TRY to talk about technique. Seriously, you should just stop or confine your blather to Ttalk.

Telehiro's selfie stick hand stays fixed to the side and front. His left hand is fixed to his left side and occasionally moves a bit fore/aft.NOWHERE does he move his arms and hands to the inside across his body. The video says it all and you could not be more wrong, Disco Al.

I didn't mention anything about the arms, just the body. The arm movement isn't typical, and it's way too advanced for someone just learning that you can rotate your body in the direction of the turn. I would stick to trying that first.

Just throwing the upperbody! WEEEEEEE! Can be done to a lesser extent but never completely because the shoulders will move the arms as they move, and it's just as stupid and imbalanced as really completely throwing the arms with it and that's exactly how beginners way way way often ski. New ski turn discovery by Al!! THE FUNDAMENTAL idea is to ski with the LEGS and NOT the upperbody. Your upperbody idea is fundamentally fucked up skiing. Have you even heard of SEPARATION? Obviously not; you certainly don't know what it means . Stop claiming to have mastered "B-Tele"; your version of it is beyond dumb. It's one thing to say on longer radius turns, the upperbody does not face downhill as much and a completely different thing to say it's good skiing to lead the turn with the upperbody. Stop balthering up threads with nonsense. Whatever it is you think you are doing in that video where you start thrashing around with your shoulders is for sure just useless movement and would NEVER be taught by any decent instructor.

Al says the stupid shit he does and it's right in his name LOW ANGLE. He slogs around the bunny hills all day just flopping and flailing and dreaming he's just nailin' it!

The first skier, Telehiro's buddy, skis the Disco Al turn i.e. by using the upperbody to start each turn. Work hard to eliminate this from your ski turns. It will keep you limited to the bunnyhills with Al, Tom M and a whole host of Ttalk experts.

Seriously, you think you discovered using the upperbody to initiate turns? That's hilarious, Al. It can be done either throwing the upper into rotation downhill or uphill. Here the skier uses that good old backhanded slap to help turn, but either way you throw the upperbody it's technically flawed skiing though as a survival move, if that's all that works, then have at it. To sell it as a great habit is just dumb.
