^^^ Seems weird to me.. When you shuffle, you try to keep weight on both skis. Really unweighting one ski off piste, in deeper snow, seems just wrong. It's the guy in the vid that does the narration in that series, I found out..BTW look how much care he has about how high his heel is -- yea I know he's relatively low.. Really compact though.

I cannot image that the teacher in that video actually skis deep snow. Pitching forward on the lead ski is not a skill, but it is a huge mistake, a habit to lose.

This movie is always interesting.. Ya know what stands out? There are aboput 0 true parallel Telemark turns in the entire thing.. The front ski is heavily steered and the back just comes along in a v.. The age of the christy Tele it seems. Can't be over 25-30% of the skier's weight on the rear ski. No way that the ski edges are being change simultaneously. Some really amusing poling advice.

1 o'clock..11 o'clock.. Same thing Tele or "alpine"..Even in leathers and other floppy boots that don't really have cuffs to pressure.

What it really means to ski "with counter" (not with counter ROTATION). Great balance, applies equally to Tele, of course!

Great video. No one pays any attention really to heel height on 75mm; don't need to, just stay compact. And the carvers all switch leads quite a bit before fall-line.

From the master of light gear ( NNN and plain pins ). I admire guy for being so practical and NOT religious about what to ski on. Here he is showing how to slide the bumps on a 75mm Hardwire setup.

Great bump skiing Tele style. Never gets "trapped" in the troughs and does very little traverssing.
